Make it like in dystopia. For Example: The weaker you are the more points you get if you kill something. A single gren gets 5 points for killing a heavy. A light tank gets 4 a medium 3 and a heavy 2 If more people are involved in killing something distribute the points. (always rounded down) If two lights kill the heavy each one gets 2 points 4 Grens kill the heavy each gets 1 point. No points for you if you die bevor the enemy gets down. Of course we have to adjust the whole system to make something like this work but i feel its better than now. Because situations like defending the base from incoming tanks, firing a ton of rockets into them, but not killing one single tank (just weaken them for the turrets) is so dump because you put so much effort in it and get nothing out of it.
150 points per level means that you only get 2 points for killing 3 infantry. It just makes things more annoying and would further punish team work. This way, if two people are attacking something, they get even less points overall. Think about it, if three people are working together against infantry, for all of them to get even one point, they'd need to kill roughly 9 people overall, granted each one did an equal share, which rarely happens. This isnt rewarding teamwork, it's punishing it. The Assist system is similar to the squad-point system where you get points whenever someone else does something in your squad, except on a more local level. The same three people would only need to kill one infantry to get the point if they all do some part. This rewards teamwork greatly. For vehicles, I like Mayama's idea. A hybrid of the ideas would work very well; assist points for infantry versus infantry and worth points for vehicles.
That is why the assist points should only be awarded when the target dies, and any "credit" you built up gets diminished as they get healed.
