Hey Everyone! Me and AZK long-ago set up a Arma 2 Benny's Warfare server, which is about as close as Arma 2 will ever get to Empires. It's quite a blast involving a massive mix of armor, aircraft (ha aircraft, you might not know what that is), and infantry. AI and the Like are involved as well creating a very well rounded game and a fun playing experience. If you are interested once I get the details sorted out with AZK I'll see if we can have one Empires wide weekend but most likely we'll have the server up this weekend if anyone wants to try it out. I don't remember the Arma 2 Server info off the top of head and I'm already late for work for I'll leave my teamspeak info here incase we do manage to get it up for this weekend IP: 24.158.64.17 Pw: Dufus
This'll be great if we can get a good handful of people. It's just a mission file too so all you need is vanilla ARMA2 which pretty much everyone does.
But if I want to play Empires, I play Empires. Or cry in a corner because the server is empty. Mostly this.
I dont have any arma game,mostly because i dont care. Also i cant get arma 3,saving up for GTAV and i cant buy arma 3 currently anyways. Still,post is a peasant.
It is actually pretty interesting, besides all the obvious additions of things like air assets & vehicles that require crews it also has AI you can command and is quite alot bigger of course. The RTS element is felt a bit more to me.
Any chance of a modded server so peasants could play ? Then they might see how fun Arma is and maybe buy it.
