    I am against this only because I love making 5+ layers of walls, it would make money a better place though.

    though this idea has good merit in its intent, I do find there to be too many issues where it reduces versatility. such as the creation of stair steps (without making the Z), and having a straight wall that can fill a gap whose distance would have remainders. The current wall placement system has no "game breaking" flaws in it, and is easy to use. The new suggested wall system has the potential to be frustrating in situations using precision placement, such as elaborate defenses involving firing slots, stairs, and ramparts.

    this problem is irrellivent now that you can damage unbuilt walls, trust me they are not that difficult to kill. This has only been a problem in the past because the only way to take down walls like this was to run up to them and calculator them to death.

    i only wanted to bring up a solution before blizzered gets rid of any use for walls (1 hit mass wall removing satchel charge - i mean WTF?)

    well, in my defence flasche, any impenetrable defence in a game is a design flaw

    if you can get "meelee close" to walls, you should be able to take them out

    especially on infantry maps this serves a big problem, its the reason walls are disabled on some maps in the first place! because they create problems

    I'm with Blizz on this. Satchel Charge VS Wall = Charge wins.
    Walls are OK as-is on normal comm maps. And I don't even play the likes of "money", " rainbowroad", and "escort", since they are grindfests. Thus I don't know how bad walls are on them maps.

    i couldnt care about infantry maps less, they are an abomination of what empires gameplay is anyway (they remove almost 50% of the game)
    if you get close to walls, they usually are not impenetrable as long as you are engi.
    the main "problem" with walls is on tigh maps where engineers placed walls, especially new ones who think they do something good to their team, mainly block your own tanks from attacking or retreating ...

    anyway, i think the damage fix for unbuilt walls solved this issue anway ...

    Actually flasche with unbuilt walls now hurtable by grenades and the like and with all the grenade spam on district it probably wouldn't be to bad. Though I prolly won't try it
