That pole may be slightly skewed due to an unrepresentative sample.

at any rate, it has no meaning unless they can show how they gather the pole and that the pole was unbias (which they say it is bias right there).

    So yeah.

AFAIK it was a random sample of AEA members. It just shows more AEA members are democrats. Nothing wrong with that.

Firstly, if you don't vote, you have no voice. Which for this country, is probably a good thing (I'm reading your post assuming you support McCain, if you don't, then don't continue reading).

Secondly, how can you vote for McCain and the lunatic he's running with? Do you want to destroy / bankrupt the country? Are you for wasting American and innocent civilian innocent lives in a war that was based on lies and misinformation? I wonder how you would vote if you were a CIA agent outed by your own government because your spouse doesn't like the President. Someone needs to get psychiatric help for you ASAP.

You really think Obama is much different from McCain? and for that matter you really think Bush was much different from Gore? Every president is influenced by their money support. If I give someone 1 million dollars to possibly make my life easier, and he gets elected he damn well better make my life easier no matter how much he hurts the proletariat

    Fuck politics
    Fuck violence
    Fuck war
    Fuck ignorance

lol! There is a difference even if it is slight. Obama's campaign is notable in that its 'money support' is coming from a wider base than most presidential campaigns. He's essentially mining the internet for donations in the same way as millions of Americans.

Also, I don't think any individual can give a million dollars to a candidate (individual donation = $2,000, party donation = $20,000 cap). You also neglect that numerous politicians take donations without following through on their promises.

    I corrected that for you.

    Ignorant statement.
Obama's biggest plus is the people he has actually said NO to in the money he receives. He has received more money from more people of the United States, without taking taxpayer funded money. Turned down 86 million dollars of guaranteed taxpayer money so that the American people can willingly donate to his campaign. He said no money from lobbyists. So who exactly is his money support coming from? You have this mindset that all politicians act a certain way that one who is actually good, they must be some sort of scum by default.
    Once again, ignorant statement.

Problem is getting rid of too many causes mass unemployment, more problems. Handing some over to the state effectively ends some programs. And you and me are going to disagree on what is needed and not.
I'm not worried about us starting it, it would be Israel. Instead, we should be talking to these people and opening up the world so that we all know that nobody really means anyone harm. The better the communication is between to two countries the less likely they will go to war.

You must keep a healthy work force. And we must also never make people prove they have health care before they get treated. We must be honest, hospitals have become a business. Businesses only goal is to make money, and do not care who they treat as long as they make money. The only way they insure themselves in making money is knowing that if the patient can't prove ability to pay, the government has their back. A universal health care program takes poor people out of emergency rooms and generally improves the countries health.

It works ideally, but nothing in this world is ideal. People are stupid.

Since I am actually a biochemist/molecular biologist I could spend all day talking about this subject, but that would be a whole another topic. I don't give a damn about a Polar bear but there are possible bigger impacts on Man. I think if crazy environmentalist would shut up about polar bears, then something could be done on the topic. But environmentalist bitch and bitch about polar bears so much that people think that only polar bears will be affected by global warming, and who the hell cares about polar bears.

Natures course to get rid of its problems would be to get rid of us.

And here is where you and me are going to get into the biggest disagreement about. Government does have roles in the market. Markets do have holes in which they become inefficient. One is assholes who are in the market just to make money short term and do not give a fuck about long term cuz they may not even be around in the company by then is a huge one. Look at the current housing/banking problems. This is not unique. This is the third time something like this has happened since this area was deregulated. Regulation is not always a bad word. There is good regulation, and it is there for a reason.
Second is CEO pay (smaller hole). I've heard people argue that CEOs and board members should get paid what ever the market and shareholders say they should be paid. Neither the market nor the shareholders ever have any voice really in to what these guys be paid, only the board members/majority stock owner does. How many times have we seen board members who make millions of dollars a year in a company that is going under while the stock owners lose it all?
Third hole, production of a placebos. How many products are out there that serve no purpose? How much do Americans pay for crap like this? Know why? Advertisement. Now I am actually not advocating regulation on most examples of such things. People need to wake their ass up from their Advertisement world and realize they bought useless crap. But does this useless crap actually improve the net economy, in dollars maybe (if it wasn't made somewhere else), but in reality no. This is again because people are stupid, the government shouldn't regulate it, but it serves no purpose in the economy. An example, the maker of Enzyte, *smile*, has often made products they claim to do something, but don't have any affect, a real placebo. Now they pay millions in advertisement making people believe it does something, but the maker of Enzyte makes millions more, even after being sued by the government for fraud. Don't get me started about cereal either, takes at most 40 cents to make a box of cereal, THEN WHY DOES IT COST $5 a box?

No I don't support mccain.. But that's why I don't need to vote for president because my state is very much blue. I do see that its important to vote for state and city props but I don't fallow any of that shit so I don't want to vote for the wrong things.
