You fuck up as comm, you shouldn't get a second chance to on that map. Honestly, this kind of thing we have now is great. If someone keeps losing, you know they should not command. Commanding is not for everyone.
However, there is a minimum competency that all players should have honestly COMMANDING ISN'T THAT HARD
a restart on the same map if the game ends in the first 10 minutes just to stop grievers wanting to end the game for a new map
i remember that round... it wasnt a grief or anything. me and 2 buddies managed to break through in the south and kill everyone by flanking upnorth... including the commander by the rax being built. When you freezed us after doing a wonderfull rush and disabling their midrax and everything along with killing their commander and win the game... we all went: WTF?!??!?!?! when we afterwards had to wait 3 bloody min for you to collect the darn thing it was even worse... having to sit there and watch you move up to it etc. then slaying the people up there near the com for firing at you (ofc we did, we did not like your action) it was even worse. sadly enough our commander who was not freezed missed you when you were just a few meters from the NF comm. in short: if a game end it ends, if a map restart should occur then thats fine, but dont ALTER the rounds which are active due to stupidity of the other team.
but there ARE very horrible maps that sometimes are played honestly, just because the map compiles doesn't mean it should be played
That's a matter of opinion, though. Just because you don't like the map and can't get the rtv to go off, doesn't mean you need to ruin the map for everyone else.
but I don't want to play emp_meatgrinder I want to play maps that have more options than "trench warfare"
Agreed. If you don't like the map, RTV. Just don't spam the fucking mic telling everyone they should RTV. That pisses me off big time, people can decide on their own if they like the map or not, they don't need someone whining in their ear for ten minutes. It the democratic process doesn't go your way, shut the fuck up and play, or sit out the round (and shut the fuck up :D ).
Recon is only telling half the truth here, I dont know if the BE com wanted to give NF their cv back... BUT the great majority wanted to end the map, I was there too...Who wants to sit through an hour long stalemate?
Exactly. The reason I did it was I had a feeling that there might have been a little more behind it than just a failed rush (e.g. a purposefully failed rush so that the person could end the map). He did not try to drive over me... He was trying to call off his team as I went over to NF to help them retrieve their CV... After reading the latest stuff in this thread, I think it's pretty clear that no body wants this to happen again. My apologies for doing it the first time. In hindsight, it was a mistake. It won't happen again.
why did he leave the MB fortifications and go all the way up to the center and pass you by a half meter to later on turn around after he missed? >_> anyway... it has no importance really.
