Well something interesting I have found, is that in the imperial vehicles folder there are textures for the transport and the fighter, and there is also a model for the transport I believe. Is this a little hint for things to come in 2.2?

In the future, they added a time-machine after they added aircraft. Then, using that, they sent the aircrafts and time machine plans back and retroactively added them to 2.2. But it made the game a bit awkward, because everyone would just rush time machines, and send their whole team back to kill the enemy CV before the match began. Also, griefers would go back in time and shoot themselves to create temporal paradoxes that crashed the server. So they used another time machine to go forward a bit and prevent the time machines from ever being added, which also ruined aircrafts. The models we have now are the only trace of that.
