Personally, I don't think it will happen, but then again, you never know. Some of the best armor resources can buy is in that tree, along with fast access to new chassis. The lack of a weapon might not matter that much since you'll have such a powerful armor you can take your time killing enemies. The pros Best armor resources can buy Fast access to upgraded chassis The cons Composite is too expensive Gas Turbine isn't the greatest engine No weapon in the mech tree What do you guys think?
Composite is simply too expensive. You can only research it in strange games where you have at least 8000 resources and nobody builds tanks.
Yeah, no comm is gonna get comp unless he wants super heavies. No point on afvs and lights because reactive holds up a little better. Simply too expensive, plus it's quite slow to get to.
I got composate in the Mush days, when i could get it in 1minute and you could afford a whole army of comp heavies with 2 refs XD
It's actually faster to dip into Reactive or Regenerative than it is to research Composite. Once you've done that, it's actually faster to skip Advanced Machining entirely and instead go for 3-Phase or Bio Diesel. Ironically, advanced machining is not a good choice for fast access to upgraded chassis. The effectiveness of Composite, meanwhile, is swiftly countered by its cost. Two tanks with regen are better than one with composite in nearly all cases. The only relevant exception, superlights, is a very specific coincidence of factors, where the speed and maneuverability of 3-phase light tanks meets the durability of reactive and the open areas and high resources of large maps. It doesn't work too well with stupid drivers, either. In truth... Pros: Best armor resources can buy. Cons: The slowest engine research (tied with coolant), for a modestly average engine. Moderately long armor research, for an armor with dubious advantages over faster offerings. Affordable only to commanders who can write blank checks.
4/4/4/4 HE UML meds is fucking win. Unfortunately, nukes/rails ruin tank combat so there is no real point. Also you can't have any noobs on your team. I used it every once and a while in testing.
Composite is not expensive. It's just 2 less resources than reactive. People already go reactive, so why not go composite.
...........................................Cost per weight is what matters. Its over 2x more expensive than reactive if you consider that.
Composite is just way to expensive to be viable. You are paying 15 more resources per plate more then reflective for an armor that isn't 15 resources better. If you can afford it you probly won anyway. Reactive has the same problem, except you can only put a few layers so its harder to notice the huge cost.
unfortunately, composite/gas takes too long to research and costs too much to research, AND on top of that, composite really fucking sucks (because it's expensive as fuck, only good when you have so many resources you should've already won by that time) honestly, cleave the research cost in half for both techs and decrease the research time by one third to one half, and it can be useful, sometimes
Composite is also the best armor per plate. You can actually drive a heavy with the same amount of armor as you would have reactive, but instead mount compo. It's as expensive as the reactive and better. Unfortunately, we're greedy as fuck and will never leave the weight on our tank less than full.
90 for machining 180 for comp 120 for gas that's 6.5 minutes for that. 60 elect 90 magnet 60 3phase 90 reactive thats 5 minutes for reactive 3 phase. in 5 minutes you can get super tanks that rape all other early game tanks, 1.5 minutes before the other team could get comp gas turbine light tanks. 90 bio 60 biodiesel 90 regen that's 4 minutes for bio regen tanks. 60 phys 90 project 120 reflective 90 fission 90 fission reactor thats 6.5 for fission. The reason why fission is used and comp is not? Fission is in the same path as a 2 slot cannon and the best MG's in the game. If you are in projectile physics, you are 2 minutes from all the weapons you'll ever need until heavies. I didn't mention chem in here, because chem sucks.
Aren't you also in Nuclear Fission? Which means you're just a few minutes from all the weapons you'll ever need... ever.
