    darktimes, think before you post. You would have the same total ammo, but instead of being forced to say 5 rockets and 8 mortars, you would have that combined for 13 rounds that can be used in either. In the end, it helps the grenadier by allowing them to chose how to use their shells/rocket-thingies.

    I like the idea, I get sick of running out of RPG ammo and being left with a shitty mortar to take out a tank with.

    And I know you guys have all had that problem where you drop all your mines and have to fill up all your RPG/mowtar/pistol ammoz before you can get one mine xD

    If you switch weapons, it will reload whatever you have out first.

    But I still find it annoying and fiddly... the Grenadier has more ammo types than any other class. Combining RPG and mortar ammo might be a good idea in that sense. On the other hand, it would remove a level of strategy; having seperate ammo encourages them to use all their weapons...

    (ZOMG unified ammo!)

    Also if you guys didn't know the RPG and Mowtar are the same weapon so it would kind of make sense to use the same ammo

    And that sucks when you have ammo upgrade :p

    This also goes for nades.. It would be cool if you could switch to the empty mine/nade slot but still have your main weapon out until you refill.

    The idea is that the RPG can be flipped over, and you can load mortar ammunition into it, rather than more precious guided RPG rounds.

    Then I'd like to be able to flip it back the other way and load cheap mortar shells into my RPG and use them like dumbfire rockets, faster than the mortar but with less splash damage.

    I don't like the mortar as a weapon, I don't find it fun to use.

    Well your entitled to your opinion but for me the mowtar is the only reason I play.. It was being able to ninja in 1.6/7 and now its the mowtar combat. Im sure alot of people will agree with me on that.. It is really fun

    Sure the tank combat is great but all the other infantry elements are sub par compared to other games like COD4..

    Mortar is the best weapon in empires, it's the most fun hands down if you are any good with it

    I didn't say it wasn't a good weapon, I just don't like it.

    The rocket launcher is a good weapon on UT, but I still prefer the shock rifle.

    shooty is my wife but the mortar is my true love :)
