I think it would be an interesting feature to be able to 'sit' on tanks, maybe on enemies as well

 

I say ABSOLUTELY NO!!!

JUST THINK OF ALL THE RUSHERS!!! Isn't it enough that they rush at LT's as soon as they have res for vf and some tanks? Now you want them to rush with CVs without even building anything? NO ***KING WAY!!!!!! If that happens I quit playing Empires and OC my computer some more and start to get into World In Conflict game.

The idea of researchable weak weapons for command vehicles is absolutely fabulous compered to that.

 

I don't think your text is big enough weedy, how bought you nub it up more?

I suggest having alternating caps or more numbers in the place of letters

I agree with Weedy, don´t make passenger slots into the cv! It would make both teams getting in the cv and rushing each other! And the cv is a cv, not a taxi!

 

Perhaps you should give the CVs 2 to 10 outside seats, so the passengers are still cannon fodder.

These changes will take a lot more coding than my option:

And lol. I woke up so much talking in next posts after mine. :D And nope, I won't change that. I was on that mood and I'm still on it if you ask to add more seats to CV. It's just your loss if you don't want to read it.

 

I don't really see it as a drawback having more slots on the CV. A big tactic in the BF42 version was to have everybody jump on the CV and drive somewhere else to build a base instead of the usual starting location. It made games more dynamic. You'd have the occasional rush, but it was no problem because of the time it took to arrive at the destination and by that time the enemy usually has some defenses up.

But, the problem with Empires for source is that there are virtually no locations to relocate to and you're in the enemies base a lot faster because of the smaller maps. The extra seats could help out, but right now I have to agree with people warning for CV rushes until we find a way to make maps even bigger.

 

Easy counter:

Lay 8 mines, stand on them, and wait for the CV to try and run you over :D

 

I think the relocating is a thing people have problem with, but they do not seem to understand that games aren't normally supposed to end in 5 minutes, sometimes they do though.

I'd moreoften play Empires if ALL games were drug out over 30 minutes to two hours. Making a run for it with one person in the CV ends the game much faster than when you take your whole team on that bulky truck and make a run for it.

 

lol ive done that many times.. the key is to shoot at the cv with your pistol so he thinks your a noob he can easliy run down
