Where would you put it? Most people use their spare mouse buttons for different things. Also why is it needed? You can switch weapon slots to change your secondary fire to something else.
There are weapon groups so you can have like twelve different groups, but still only two mouse buttons. Also, random features are for suggestion section.
You'd need to animate the melee. Also for that I think a melee button would be more appropriate, as would a melee weapon like CoD 4, because that saves animation speace.
mouse 1: HE cannon mouse 2: HE cannon Mouse 3: machine gun I've wanted a 3rd button for my tanks for a while, but never cared enough to suggest it.
I have it: slot1; mouse1: HE cannon mouse2: HE cannon slot2; mouse1: machine gun Dual HE under 1 button is a waste of the second shot, which fires too far off reticle for my tastes. Anyway, it's still easier to have a tertiary fire. So if it possible, why not?
Instead of mouse buttons I would like to have keyboard buttons. E.g for NF heavy tank: Mouse 1: HE cannon Mouse 2: Guided Missle Space: MG Shift: HIT Missle
Being able to bind a 3rd weapon firing for your tank MIGHT be useful. However, it would require people to pay attention to a 3rd bind and what would be the default intuitive bind? Maybe with pop-up hints we can make the tertiary weapon bind more obvious....
I don't use it for anything, I have the power of the number keys to use multiple weapons, but most people seem to use their spare mouse buttons for voice chat. What does trolling have to do with it? Edit: I always bind my two primary weapons to either mouse button in slot one, and then in slot two I have the cannon and the MG bound to mouse1 and mouse2 repsectively. The exception is if I'm using all missiles, in which case I bind them all to mouse1 and the MG to mouse2.
I don't really understand any of the negative posts here. You can just leave the tertiary bind in the vehicle key bindings menu empty and the tertiary fire option wont be available to you in the vehicle customization menu. So no changes for you at all. What's the problem?
The problem is that it isn't neccesary and may well be unusable for some people. Having it in the game probably won't cause problems but I have no reason to expect it would bring any benefits either. I can't think of any situation where you desperately need three fire buttons, if you're shooting infantry hit 2 to equip your machinegun and best anti-infantry explosive weapon, if you're shooting tanks hit 1 to equip all your anti tank weapons, as the numerical keys are right above the move keys it's not a difficult thing to do.
lol, you do realise this is not all that many lines of code, how is this unnecessary? What's wrong with more options in configuring your weapons. I bet that if we only had 1 fire button you would be arguing that a secondary fire button would be useless because you can hit a number to change weapon....
Are you just ignoring the people saying it would in fact benefit them, or are you saying they don't know whats good for them and you do? It doesn't affect you since you won't use it so what the heck are you trying to accomplish in this thread?
Well two buttons are kind of neccesary to use dual cannons, because you would have to keep mashing 1 and 2 otherwise. But you don't need to use three weapons simultaneously.
IT'S AS THOUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OPTION OF A TERTIARY FIRE BUTTON WOULD SOMEHOW MAKE LIFE HARD ON SOME MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. I actually expected better of you Brutos, it's an option not compulsory.
Hey, check this out, you can bind it to another button! Isn't technology great?! :D I need this. I really do. Most of the time I don't get the 3rd weapon because the switching mechanism pisses me off and sometimes slots don't even work (2nd slot never fucking works). Anyway, even if you don't have the middle mouse button (living under a rock), you'd be able to bind it to another button to bind to 3rd fire or not use it at all if you can live without it. The options are all there, you're an idiot if you can't find an alternative to mouse3.
