I should be able to be there, however if my connection is laggier than 60 year old tits, I might only be able to stick to commanding and strategy(not that it is much of a problem yaarrrr harrrr)
In my opinion --> From most important to less important: 1. Classic Gameplay! (Please try to balance the teams and play atleast 1 normal comm map game, decide on comms beforehand...) 2. Vehicles (Commanders should check the CV's, if needed see if the artilleries are working, its likely they still spin out if you keep the movement keys pressed while starting to move forward) 3. Infantry Weapons (check the shotty pistol in prone) 4. Bugs as always if there are any mayor ones 5. Please report the number of game crashes and performance issues in a thread afterwards By the way if you are having general performance issues despite decent processors: There are rumours that these commands could help AMD Muliticore machines: mat_queue_mode -1, 0, 1, 2 -1 = auto detect if you have single or multi core (it's the default) 0 = single core 1 = also single core 2 = multi core Set it to 2, maybe the auto detection doesn't work for you. More untested rumours/commands for OB: snd_mix_async 1 r_threaded_renderables 1 r_threaded_particles 1
Any news about the maps? If you want to have them compiled, fix them as soon as possible. I can possibly compile them before the next playtest. And maybe you have noticed, maybe you haven't but I uploaded the maps again some time ago, only with the difference that I compiled them with HDR. The cubemaps still need to be done though. But since I got only problems with that, I will let someone else more experienced do that.
I can't say if the new missile warning sound is better or worse than the old one, tough choice. Anyways is there any feedback to the playtest as requested above?
