Does that steam box have better specs than your current pc? Oh wait, your porting to the 2013 engine, that means you can test out empires on it too, right? Still, lucky you.
Those stains are clearly just dust. But that's awesome, tell us how it plays. Empires would need to be ported to (GNU/)Linux for that to work.
This is a fucking joke, right? I need some verification. Take a photo like the one below, but put the PC where the self-obsessed girl's coffee is. That's a Brix Pro, the first machine with a 4770R CPU, i.e. the CPU with Intel's best GPU. It's a legitimate gaming machine. I'm having a nerdgasm right now. So much jelly. Actually, I think it might also come with the cheaper 4570R, but that's still not bad. I demand other specs.
Put an A10 7850K in there for half the price and better performance would be a better choice by Valve right now.
It's funny, I was just talking with a friend about that exact scenario. I literally used the Brix Pro "Steambox" when early pics emerged. Now I know the Brix Pro is the Steam Box (w/o the quotes). Unfortunately, Kaveri's top part requires 95W of cooling while the 4770R only requires 65W. At lower resolutions (~720p), gaming performance is comparable. Once you ratchet that up, AMD's chip wins. But we can't forget that Intel hasn't learned how to driver, yet... So the 7850K isn't the right chip for a chassis the size of Brix Pro, but the 7600 would do well!
