It takes a little while to learn how to best do it (I explained it on page 1). Also, I managed to do it in about 7 mins and candles says he managed to do it in 2. I think that 2 min is a bit overstated, however if you do it right it can be done very effectively.
it would be nice of you to inform the developers and server owners about a possibly gamebreaking glitch before you post it publically. and with before i mean enough give them enough time to fix it. edit: especially in a mod where devs usually have a life and commitments aside the game. you put a gun at their head and say FIX. and its not like its impossible to talk to the decission makers directly ...
tl dr; Flasche, ask Trickster for the map, change the bikes to prop_dynamic, and recompile. (My computer can't do it, the compile time takes forever for me. I'm on a shitty laptop).
There's like 10 players that play and read the forums and I can only think of FN who would exploit that.
Honestly I had no idea, that it would take an entire patch to fix this small detail and I thought the mappers can do it. And honestly, I have no idea who has the authority to change anything except Trickster. Besides, it still takes quite an amount of dedication, that most trolls lack, to actually utilize this. And as Z10000M and D.D.D. Destroyer said, there aren't by far enough active players and at the same time forum readers to consider this a big problem. But if you want, I can cut some of the information on how to do it. If that'll make you happy fine. I don't really care and most of what I've said aboud avoiding BE was a joke (thought it was obvious enough). And in the end, if someone figures out this on his/her/its own, this thread might help others get rid of the damn bike more easily.

It's not worth a special patch to remove this. If it happens to get done, great. If not, ohwell. This would be a method of greifing, not a method of winning. 7 minutes is a long time to be crouched in front of the enemy vf. Otherwise, have a console admin use ent_remove while looking at the bikes.
im just guessing here. i assume entities do have some sort of ID and i also assume you can ent_remove by ID. if its true, why dont just put a mapname.cfg on servers? also wasnt griefing the concern?
I doubt this is much of a concern for now. Since it turns out that we have the vmf for it then it can easily be pushed out over steam by itself if it turns into a problem (the current steam integration allows devs to push whatever files they want whenever they want basically). P.S. If you think posting an exploit that takes 5 minutes for not much affect to be carried out, its probably a good thing i didnt make a post on the forums detailing how to get unlimited free vehicles in 2.4
I don't think the SVN VMF is the right one. Things got really messy around the time Grizzly moved to a new SoF setup (the one with the brown ambient lighting) which used to crash everyone, so I took the 2.2 version and entity edited out the dumbass spaceship and made that the official version.
