Yo. Hello fine lads. So I'm doing some fundraising (sorta in a sense). My friend and I are participating in an organization called Bikes MS, and one of the events is Pedal to the Point. Him and I are riding 150 miles from Brunswick, Ohio, to Cedar Point. We'll stay there overnight, then ride back. Thing The obstacle in my path is, $250 is required to be raised from donations to enter. I don't know about any of you, but I don't have that offhand.. $5 is the minimum amount to donate on my page, and really, I'd be extremely grateful for that. Infoz. Information pertaining to the subject: My page; http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/stevevernyi Anything is appreciated! Also, I'd like some training advice. I've really only ridden 30 miles in one day on my BMX bike..150 miles in two days will be fun on a street bike.
It's not like you're depositing this directly into my paypal. Why don't you take a look around the website and find out what it's about? *Edit The $20 I spent to register and the $10 self-donation.
It sounds great and all but I rather donate my money directly to those research/medical institute than some secondary organization that will use a huge chuck of it on self-promotions and internal costs. Plus I'm a student thus I'm poor by definition. I'm not a trust-fund baby like Tricky.
you really have to hate your knees ... anyway, depending on terrain and with an ordinary halfwhat decent roadbike, an average human at your age could do that in a single day. youll sleep well, but you wont die of exhaustion. just dont try to be there in an hour, plan more like 5-6 not considering stops (so about 7-12h), on flat terrain an average of 12-15mph (20-25khm) is quite easy to keep even for untrained
In the army I bicycled 180Km in two days, we had these shitty army bikes and about 40kilos of equipment with us. It wasn't that bad when you remembered to use baby powder between your butt cheeks and your crotch. And those magnesium tablets that you took before the trip.
Once pedaled 180km in a single day, although that was in a group so we used some nice techniques to get there Also it was on really flat ground
From what my friend told me (he went last year), it's not all flat, but there are some decent stretches. I think we go through some very suburban areas where there's nothing but dirt road for miles, while other times we have to go on some decent angles. But like I said, this is about 5x the best I've done, so I want to practice and make sure I'm not going to be that guy and stop halfway.
On my page, or post on the forums? The page was that by default and I didn't feel the need to change it.
D-damn you.. *Edit If the answer is Desperate, I can't change it. By all means feel free to join. There's going to be quite a crowd of witnesses participants.
Should it be "Him and me" instead? I'm unsure after asking mr. google edit: That isn't even a spelling mistake, that is wrong grammar :/
Keep in mind that Trickster considers spelling things in the American way (color instead of colour) wrong.
