HOW TO MAKE THE GAME PLAYABLE WITH NOOBS: 1. Get a mic. 2. Answer their questions. 3. Tell them (by name!) when they can do something better. 4. Watch them get 40x better
Brb, recording several hundered games of noobs failing epically while I run around almost like the headless retard I was half a year ago. Then using Windows Moviemaker (of all things) to make a video which will probably only get 30 views because thats how unpopular I am. Meh, might aswell ask some of my 'friends' to come and make a fool of themselves too.
I recorded empires gameplay once but when I uploaded to youtube they fucked with the quality and it turned out awful. If anyone knows how to make youtube not make my videos grainy I'd be very grateful.
google! there are guides howto optimize vids for utube if i remember correctly. at least there are some tips/hints howto get the best quality.
Wow dude how did you find this "google" its amazing you can search for anything i cant beleive i never used this before omg I've already tried multiple tutorials. I'm not the average empires forum goer. I have a fucking brain dude. See my phrase "If anyone knows how to make youtube not make my videos grainy I'd be very grateful." not "If anyone would kindly point me to google."
perfect place to ask that stuff, yep reply to this thread! back on topic: the steamingpiles release is quite nice. hipster: nice to see a good indie game put on the mainstream distribution system
1. Change your name every game. 2. Act like a fucking idiot 3. Be a fucking idiot (only if your euro cuz america is so cool and smart) 4. Be cool.
you will also need to record in the proper resolution. If you record in 800x600, you'll get shitty 800x600 resolution in video. but making the video in fraps in high resolution takes up several times more memory :/
Tbh...I don't really know what to say. We're finally here, and I hope things only get better for us. This mod really deserves more, more help, more attention, much more players. It still has that something special, and it still can be something great.
It's been years since i put that empires vid on youtube, but i had the same problem. I don't understand what other users do to prevent youtube from ruining a perfectly good vid. And now it doesn't matter anymore. Uncompressed recordings to create a single 10 minute vid easily gets to 80GB. I no longer have that space available. Edit: dude what, i just watched your vid, i would never expect better quality from fast moving vids like that
