a nuke that size would prolly not only solve the middle east crisis, but end all crises worldwide ...
that crater is as big as the crater of the meteor that did impact into the gulf of mexico 365mio years ago (the one that killed the dinos) youd have a nucular winter of epic proportions ...
Detonated high enough and it would probably dissipate the vast majority of the radiation. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were really "dirty" by today's standards of nuclear weapons.
Ok I installed the particle hotfix and my fps went back to normal. The problem is it gives me extreme costly particles that kill around 50fps if im close to one. So I installed Emptys cheap particles and I had again locked fps. Edit: Im not 100% sure could be random.
If people have it without using the cheap particles than its something in the engine that slowly eats up performance. I noticed that it doesnt jump from 60 to 20. It jumps in rougly 5 fps steps. It seems that emptys cheap particles might only fasten it up for whatever reason.
Thats the text of the particle hotfix and that EXACTLY my problem. So its seems that (for me) its only the cheap particles of empty that cause the problem. Is it enough to install the bullet tracer particles of the particle hotfix to fix it? Cause as said I cant use the particles of the particle hotfix cause its to expensive for me.
With the cheap particle pack, don't use the tracers from that, they're too big anyway and the normal ones are plenty cheap. Reinstall the hotfix with the cheap particles installed. EDIT: I think I used the version of the particles mootant broke when I threw the cheap tracers together. FFS Mootant god dernit.
Empty you were the person that fucked up particles so shut up. No third party (even Empty's) hotfix is ever supported.
Unfortunately this wasnt the direct x9 related fps problem that seems to exist in the empires code but maybee the fact that people still have similar problems without using corrupted particles might point in the right direction.
i had no issues whatsoever playing empires 2.31a yesterday. i had all settings maxed out @1650 (8xAA, 16xAF), only HDR off since its no requirement for everyone and im not going to put me in a disadvantage specs: i5-750, 4gb ddr3, hd4850 1gb
its a game setting, you dont even have to manipulate the cfg ove: id be all for required HDR, you could design maps around the disadvantage (fighting against the sun and thelike)
Yes. Tracers not disappearing were your wrong particles. I know that because "hotfix" was just .pcf change. I'm not interested in you moving blame to someone else just because you don't like people's feedback about your own work. :> Tracers spawning several times for vehicles were my fault.
What Empty receives is not exactly feedback, it's more like "WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"
