I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but why don't we drop ammo when our characters die? I've often wondered about this...
That sounds like a good idea. I wonder if having lots of ammo entities would cause lag. And what would happen if someone was reved?
DEVS COVER YOUR EYES! Seriously, don't give the devs anymore silly suggestions, otherwise they'll spend months implementing a buggy version of this rather than work on actual issues.
you realise that firing a weapon makes you visible right... /topic it may be something interesting but its not really like easy to code and stuff so i dont think someone will bother with this suggestion.
Yeah, it wasn't a suggestion; however, being able to pick up another class's weapons would be kinda fun, giving incentive for staying alive after killing someone...
Its bad for gameplay because it encourages lonewolfing. Why stay with your team and get ammo from engies if you can go rambo and pick ammo off all the dead bodies you leave in your wake?
That would cause even more balance issues. I'm not sure if there's a way to tell if someone is within a radius of an entity, and you'd need that to tell if someone picked up the ammo so you could give it to them and destroy the entity.
