...you exit comm view only to realize you've been a victim of the hardest ninja to pull off: the 8-mine.

 

it seems like you can't even put mines close to the commander without setting them off, I usually have to drop them a short distance in front of the commander then entice him to run me over :S

 

...You don't have a microphone.
...You don't know how to research
...You waste the starting resources on an armoury in your base.
...You don't give targets

 

You spent your first 400 res dropping a vf in cyclopean

 

You spent your first 400 res dropping a VF anywhere.

 

...your 400 ress VF faces a wall.

 

You laugh at 400 res VF rushes ignorant to the face they are actually useful in some situations

 

Your first building you've ever placed is a barracks.
On Cyclopean.
And it's 2.24.

 

... you wonder why the boom-tank won't start.
... you draw stuff with walls and upload to the forums.
... you go straight for heavies and leave it at that.
... you place the vf right infront of a cliff with water at the bottom.
... you love having > 50% of your team consist of scouts with ranged rifles.

 

This one is real:
Not being able to place the starting refineries, but refusing to get out of the Command Vehicle so that someone else can place the starting refineries, and only bailing from the Command Vehicle when that same someone starts asking the local admin to ban you.

I did even worse recently...I bailed out so that someone could place them, and it turned out that person just wanted to drive the cv away. I then placed a barracks failing to realise the 0 res intake. So yeah, i'm a noob comm :p

 

when you dont know what a "refs" is.
when your team threatens to rape you... to death.

 

... you get stuck on the starting position

 

you find yourself trapped on a rock behind enemy lines / on the front line when you told yourself for the 10th bloody time you were going to take this match easy and not try any crazy shit.

 

Happens all the time .. "I'll just drive over this guy and.. WHAT? STUNSTICKY? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

 

That's just plain ignorant. I know many mic-less comms that are probably in the top 10 Empires commanders.

 

It's always been like that unless someone have entered the CV. It's like... eh... floating kind of. The same goes for if someone spawned in the CV, and then doesnt go to driving mode at least once.

 

Actually, talking like top of the top, the only one that comes to mind is nesquiko.
