If you pissed them off to much they would interfere with missions or invade your base. If they liked you they gave you discounts if you trade with them, assisted you on missions with extra troops, and occasionally gave you gifts such as weapons or vehicles. My favorite was the mutant alliance. If they add that back into X-com one of these days that would be great, feeling pressure from like 15 interest groups made it more meaningful when they assisted in pushing back the aliens.

It comes out next month, and I only make game threads for shit im stoked about. I was so pissed when they over hyped declassified and it turns out it was mediocre garbage. Thankfully I didn't preorder. I was hoping declassified would break the cycle of bad xcom sequels, but the only games that have not sucked are the ones who stayed true to the formula. Just want some fucking co-op in this one, that's all I really want. Me and a friend were geeking out over the exalt trailer because they finally brought back base defense missions.
