I just played the longest game I think, ever, on emp_slaughtered on the training server. At first, I started out on NF.. we had a first time Commander. He was very slow at researching, and we only had regen and biodiesel. I switch over to BE and to my surprise, they have heavy tanks and rails and he bullets with advanced coolant already. I thought BE was going to win quickly. I was wrong. NF got nukes and heavies quickly, and then there was a stalemate for about 30 minutes in the passageway because the nukes overheated like 5 tanks at a time. Then NF started pushing fast. They took D3, and we retreated all the the main base. Somehow, they started getting pushed back. Slowly, basically over the period of an hour we inched our way back... and BE finally won at the end of a 1 1/2 hour game... dang... Just wanted to share.
I was in Mitties server yesterday, and we had a 2 hour conquest map on Urban_Chaos. It was awesome, everyone kept pushing the other team back for about 1.5 hours, then suddenly everyone stopped getting vehicles and BE won.
You'd be surprised how long some maps used to take - if ya hate ticket bleed, try playing district402 or Glycencity for 4 hours
Im glad rounds take that long, This means the game is well balanced... or that you are a bunch of slow retards :D
Yeah I still remember the second pug back in 1.07 when we played on the first version of district with sewers, man that was pretty long battle. I still consider that: One of my favorite battles ever. :D
The longest match you've ever played only took 1.5 hours? The longest one I've played (Classic) took 3.5 hours. Now that was an epic game lol
longest i ever played was 3 hour district with no bleed when squad revive would revive people who just joined and ticket bleed didn't ruin every game (obviously on the test server, without noobs sabotaging your team)
The longest one I played was ~4 hours and it was on valley. Walls allover the place, both teams had equal resource points, there where these no mans land between the two teams walls. It was great. The enemy team managed to push through on the east side of the map and I at a last ditch effort ran into the enemy base and actually scared the CV out of the protection of his base and he drove into a bunch of our waiting heavy tanks. It was great.
The longest match I had was back in 1.07... it was about 4-6 hrs on money. It wasn´t that great and boring :/!
I can't remember my longest empires. Probably 2 hours? I once had a a 5 or so hour long game on Natural Selecton. Possibly in it's first public release. Can't remember now!
What time was it when this map finished? 'Cos even if you started at 5 that still means it finished at 1/2 past midnight. Was it because the teams were really good or were they really sucky?
