I'm going to try and make a map using a 3d Terrain Generator It will be a push map, with 6 Capture Points (plus starting ones) there will be 2 surfaces of play, Above ground and in the trenches. Paint Design:
It looks like it'll have some strategy, unlike some other maps... *cough*district*cough* But you need to give each base another route to, and from otherwise you'll end up with that same kind of stalemate you see in district when one team has all the flags except the last one and simply bleeds the other team with turrets, scouts, riflemen, or just nades the hell outta them because they can't break in using only that one street, which is defended by the entire other team. I can see some tactics actually being used in here such as flanking, surrounding+pounding, even sneaky raids to capture a flag behind enemy lines and catch the nearby flags off-guard.
its not exactly how i invision trenches i was under the impression each side on WW1 had there own set of trenches
Unlike WWI, the two sides agreed that it would be easier to fight if they connected the trenches. Plus they were afriad of the sun...
I should probobly post some pics of the trench map i did somwhere >_> Also, about that overlay, how about a large field in the center? *Found them!* couldent find anny proper screens of the trenches though, but i still wana brag about it!
This map should have several surface accesses, with which you can quickly traverse the top. the only problem is the near constant bombardment of deadly bombs... would be a fun and exciting addition
nice i like this idea. just trenches and no tanks or engine support. maybe one airstrike or two, but that isnt implented yet. awesome.
