Titled pretty much says it all. Mayhaps something like in BF:BC2 (without the unlocks, of course. Maybe skins? /shrug), or CoD:BO; or something entirely unique. The overall question is will such a system ever exist?
You want PSR implemented in empires? Iono too easy to abuse with quitting and changing teams and stuff.
All I want is a win/loss count for each team on each map so we can actually get the mappers to balance them.
stats could be done, just without a scoring system. it's fun to look at the weapons you use and how many times you revive people or got killed with a calculator. combining it with a universal ranking system assigning points is dumb though. again, it's totally feasible, just have no dumb point system attached to it. it's about understanding trends and not dickwaving.
Meh, I'm still of the opinion that the easiest way to balance is just to have 0-10 hours, 10-100 and 100+ as 0.5, 1 and 2 players respectively. It won't be entirely accurate but it'd be close, and there's nothing to gain by farming it, nor is it anything grind-based.
laissez faire balance. remove autobalance and let teams balance themselves. raw data should be available for the sake of raw data, not balance. the real issue with balance is that the community is too small. there are only so many unique players on servers per day. when the community expands and skill becomes less varied across the bored, this won't be a problem. just look at other active mods.
What I'm saying is that this global scoring system has no negatives other than "requires coding/SQL(?)" because you can choose what to or not to do with it. In other words, the balance accuracy and direction in which development occurs will be bettered due to a deeper understanding of how Empires works, how games are played, and what's going on. Maybe I shouldn't have used "Rank", rather, "Global Statistical System", where EVERYTHING can be recorded match-by-match. What was researched how many times, is there a correlation between a map and the most used class, is there a trend of "losing team researched xxxxxx", etc. Problem other than coding...just how big would this be?
How about taking into account the end game score too? 50 E-penis points for being on the winning team. 1X E-penis points for each point scored. y/n?
Sure, whatever, but the point is, time-based and nothing else is the easiest way to do it. Time in which you spend on a team, playing. It's simple. It rates experience, not skill. Not everyone with the same experience is as good anyway.
High-FN Society is not related to the Consortium, nor does it discriminate between clans. There are already inductees from EPIC (e.g. Predator). My goal was to start playing earlier and induct more European players with a good reputation. Maybe I'll do that during classes
