I go spec when all of the tickets on my team have run out and I think there is no chance of a revive. Other than that, if I'm not playing, I'm not in the server. I've no problem with spec as long as there are free slots. However, when the server is jammed full, and in the server list window I can see that 15 people have no points, it kinda feels like the spec players are using it like IRC, or just camping a server slot so they can play when they return from whatever they're out for three hours to do.
I go spectator when the last 3 rounds have been stacked and the next one starts stacked too. On the other hand spectator mode is used by people to stack teams in the first place so I guess I have no problem if servers start removing spectator slots.
Spec is important cause you can release your anger and tell everyone how stupid your last round team was
It just isn't fun to play games that are already lost, especially when the enemy is retarded and camps while our comm is stubborn and turtles. Spawn, run outside, repair a wall, die, repeat gets old fast. Thats when I go spec.
Spec is where stackers wait for a good team and then POUNCE and BOOM you have your self a stacked team.
i wish when you specced, you were a seagull in the map that people playing could shoot down to vent their rage.
And players could roast the gulls they shot down for a health&stamina boost! Anyhow, when i spec it's often because my team doesnt have a rax, or because i don't like playing the map. Besides, Empires is one of the games that i find interesting even to spec.
Yea I agree, most games i find spectating boring but in empires i find spectating almost as fun as playing, just watching each persons strategy etc.
