Title says it all. The new fourms look very bad, you can't use an avatar, and we loose all our topics. I don't care wether we can view the old fourms or not. The topics are there, and not here. Also, would the team please explain WHY they switched to these fourms? The old ones are much better in all respects. I can't figure out how to make a poll. The interface is much too cluttered. All in favor of ye old fourms say aye.
They changed cause these forums give more control to admins or something. I agree though, the old forums were much more simple and weren't as much a burden on the eyes as these ones are.
Ok... the new fourms are also... BUGGY!!! YAY!!!:confused: For reasons unknown to mankind, people can't get avatars. Sometimes new posts appear in the middle and the clocks go backwards. :mad:
New forum. Why? Vbulletin is much more professional and secure than the previous boards. The old boards were very bland, and this looks nice. New posts can be made in due time.
vBulletin is much better than IB in many ways. Security, functionality, and looks. This particular board is just configured strangely. And as far as the posts go, I volunteered to help convert them and was even asked to speak to Enzo about helping, but got shrugged off. It's annoying to see admins and developers complain about being bogged down with work but refuse someone willing to basically do the dirty work for you.
It's not going to happen. It's a shame some people got too settled into the old ones as they were always temporary and just a quick fix after the phpBB boards were hacked.
can we try to make this forum feel a little more like "home". Whatever "home" is anyway... what would it take to get avatars/sigs working? That would be a good start. Down the road maybe you could make a red skin too: one for BE and one for NF. The variable-width is pretty cool tho I must say but then again that always gets me turned on even if its some 2d piece of crap game. =P I have to say tho I do kinda miss the old forums... wait those are the new old forums, arent they? Cuz there were old old forums too.
Avatars do work. Sigs do work (text only), this is either intentional or the admins haven't gotten around to enabling the image tag. Either way, there are a lot more important things to be worrying about right now
Not sure why its not enabled, maybe they dont like pcitures? But just to make sure you can enable pictures in signature by going to the 'user profile options' under vbulletin options in the admin panel

Nah, I'm just helping convert the old posts over to this one if Enzo would get on to get me what I need to do it I'll be back in regular user-land soon enough. But yeah, the little ones are tehbest.
