    It says on wikipedia
    "Northern Faction controllable in the game who are only able to keep pace with the superior technology of the Brenodi due to an unknown benefactor."

    Its been a decade, does anyone know who it is?

    It's the USSR, this war takes place during the cold war. The soviets were able to master teleportation to planets in other parts of the galaxies, and came upon the Brenodian/Jekotian planet.

    I thought it was genetic modification and old Jekotian equipment? It seems to me that there are conflicting versions of the same story.

    I like the theory that the rich commonwealth islands are aiding the jakotians to keep selling weapons, technology and keep the research grants and production investments of the brenodians ongoing.

    What a cute little birdy.

    Also the unknown benefactor is hobbes. He has been supporting nf with the money he makes from his weed grow ops. He keeps nf alive just so he can disguise himself as a soldier and take the comm vehicle and boomtank for his own enjoyment. Many began to suspect his true identity and vote for him as comm just out of fear of what might happen if they don't.
