Nobody really, I mean obviously some people invented computers, mostly the americans, the germans, and the british I think, they eventually streamlined into pure electronic computers from the old electromechanical ones they used back in the day.

Then of course someone thought of hooking them into a communications network, although that's probably just a natural extension of existing telecommunications networks, the idea was eventually adopted all over the world and it is precisely because of the lack of a single inventor and therefore a single patent that the internet is what it is, distributed and unrestricted by national boundaries.

So nobody invented the internet, it just kinda happened.
