I slightly regret buying Borderlands, only 4 players and the hosting part is messed up... for some, not me. Also, your mic is constantly on when playing the game.
After 5 minutes L4D bored me to tears. That game was shit. About the worst game I ever bought. No, actually, not about the worst game I ever bought...it IS the worst game I ever bought.
I don't know. It seemed pretty obvious from the demo that l4d was gonna be pretty boring. The only interesting thing I did was grief my team and if I want to do that I can just play empires.
Wooo i predicted borderlands would be shit! I feel like i've claimed some sort of moral highground. I did just order the bundle pack of L4D and L4D2 a couple of days ago... I hope that wasn't a mistake.
Man I'm still playing Borderlands, I fucking love that game. I even put put down the nine bucks for the DLC yesterday :D. Though I have to admit it suffers from the same thing L4D does; it sucks without friends & sucks more when you get paired up with with one of those "THIS GAEM R FKING SRS!" people who ban you for breaking the mood or not hitting anyone with the boomer spray or some minor bullshit like that.
Meh, really depends on your style I guess. Just gotta try em for yourself. I thought ambushing survivors on L4D, planning exact moments to tear them apart at the same time was exhilirating. Same for hearing your teamate get dragged away during a zombie rush, so you'd have to beat through zombies rushing to save him. Borderlands felt like I was just playing another shooter with guns that had varied stats, and happened to have coop.
Make sure to check out Steam's ongoing sales...I nabbed the THQ pack and KOTR for pretty cheap...owning all of COH and Dawn of War is pretty awesome...and getting Red Faction (I missed the original, and am playing Guerilla right now) was worth it.
Yeah, Knights of the Old Republic for 2,24€ and even cheaper for the rest of the world is a must if you have never played it.
