    This guy in the comments of that video seems to know.

    It's not as random as it seems.
    SPOILERS
    Example: The crawling red bars in the early train scene were caused by the decapitated head colliding with the train far later. The world is coherent, but the rules are strange and abstract. The cat knows this; it can navigate the strange geography well (If you're thinking about it like art, the gallery gives you a hint: THE CAT). The characters know this; they lament their tortured existence as they reflect upon it during the piano show. LOOK DEEP

    That video is full of weird art.

    You can also spell the word 'pomegranate' as 'ajgna%kfalksa' but people who do that are wrong.
