i usually roll in a 3 man squad with two revive engineers (me/catguy) and some offensive player (harryhoot) who are the cats you roll with? in casual play? in competitive play?
Nihia as engy if possible, given he's by far the best. Ever. I prefer to be a rev-engy because I can't really play offensive these days, given the ping and shit. Even when I wasn't over here, I didn't play regularly enough to be an effective Rifle or Grenadier like I used to. Ideally though, 3 engys + 2 offensive. If we're cutting people, then it's 3+2, 2+2, 2+1, in that order.

80% isn't even good enough. You need the extra 20% (basically Nihia taking bullets for his teammates). That is what a real teammate does.

At the very start have squad lead as scout and 4 speed engies, then switch out at first rax into 2 revive engies and 3 riflemen or grenadiers. For people I would just employ five soldiers from the M.A.D. Candles Clone Army. (MCCA)
Infantry build - Mainly a lone cohesion, offensive force. Squad leader - Revive engineer, armed with smg1, he drops ammo and walls first. Speed grenadier, pistol1 he takes over whenever arty strike seems ideal. Revive engineer, armed with smg2, helps revive, may take over to activate engineer squad abilites. Speed rifleman, pistol1, assault rifle, overwatches the front and the right side. Speed rifleman, pistol1, assault rifle, overwatches the left side and the back. Later skills mostly: ammo increase, health upgrade, defusal, repair upgrade. End skills can be anything what fits the player appetite. Armored build - Mainly tanks, swarming into enemy lines. Squad leader - Grenadier, armor spotter, coordinating fire into the weakest points of the enemy. Defuse grenadier, he takes other vehicle skills later. Repair engineer, he repairs the squad vehicles. Repair engineer, he repairs the squad vehicles. Vehicle damage rifleman, for pure dmg output. Can be replaced with either a repair engineer or a defuse grenadier. Later skills; all vehicle skills, and anything what fits the player appetite.
my prefered build are two guys who are more cautious then i am as revengi - do i actually have to say this, revengi - and a either a rifleman or a gren who is more suicidal then i am. i pick the opposite class ... squadlead goes to the one of the engis who knows about squadskills. at best they follow me around bc i easily get distracted by opportunities to leftclick, but if they care about what i miss to click, ill do my part somewhat reliably ...
A team of 5 scouts with hide, weapon silencers and a mix of weaponry to cover each other's asses, what more could you ask for? ;D I also like Spike's (yes, I said spike) ninja squadrevs in the enemy base, even when he's drunk he can do that properly (or even better than when he's sober, who knows?).
