Not really sure whether I should make this map an escort like map or a normal commander map. Not so much room for buildings so I'm thinking of an escort like map. It's not finished by the way, this is only a part. (taking up like 1/4 of hammer grid though)
Frig, no CDR maps again. Make this a mission stye escort type map and you'll be everyone's hero (at least beerdude's)
Which ones are Cdr maps? Theres also the option of making two types (and just deleting a load of entities/replacing them), but that risks being a jack of all maptypes and master of neither.
Classic Looks like the makings of an Epic Classic map to me. With it being 1/4 of it's potential size, it screams "Strategic Domination" IMO. D-Gen
I think the only CDR map is the CDR_canyon. It's just modified so that everything is prebuilt and preresearched so you can have mayhem on a commander map which used to have CV. On CDR version of it the CV is removed and everyone can just drive and blast everything to pieces.
Looks ok but the only issues I can realy see is that having a strip of perfect highway in the middle of a closed off box canyon... Maybe continue them into the side walls of the map with collapsed tunnels to seal them off. I could see this map turning into a conquest over a scenic highway. But over all a good start.
had an idea, nf are taking out a secret-uber-aircraftfactory of the brenodi in the mountains. Took the idea of the soviets who often had whole installations with roads and stuff in desolate area's. NF have to capture a couple of flags which represent certain actions such as installing a bug to lower the gates to the back entry of the facility which is not guarded as well and used mainly for maintence. Large part will be in the facility with parts for inantry only like pipe-like things that run throughout the facility for maintenence stuff. Bit difficult to make it all look like a factory so any help would be appreciated. *Edit* Ferpect highway is for the delivery of supplies and materials for the highway, could make it scenic I guess, but its a lot of work.
cdr_canyon took all the delicious sugar filled chocolate of empires, multiplied it by a thousand and then shoved it viciously into your mouth with a piledriver, over and over again, for an hour, until all you can taste is blood and vomit and you never want to play empires again. I vote flag map. that would be fun
