The water in my maps is not showing the top texture in game. -In hammer, it shows up normally, and for some reason it appears normally when viewed with the sky_camera in the skybox. -It is nodraw except for the top, which is the water texture. I use maps/emp_mvalley/water_ati or the standard HL2 water. -I have a water_lod_control and the water brush is a world brush. -When you go under the water line, you can see the underside texture normally and it behaves like normal water. When you shoot the top of the water it shows the splash sprite, but only in certain parts of the water. -There are no leaks, the water brush is on its own and is not touching the void at all. I would put in a screenshot but the problem is theres nothing to see. No other threads helped me. Help?!
water is unpredictable in fast compile make sure you dont give every face of the water brush a water texture!
i just remembered i kinda tinkered with my VIS compiler, so this could explain my crappy fast compile on normal it compiles good
It works fine on fast or normal and pretty much every different setting in expert compile, it only stops showing when there is no vis compile.
