Voice Comms Lag?

    I seem to lag every time someone uses voice comms - only started recently...

    Any ideas whats going on?

    Oh yes, that's terribly helpful... :rolleyes:

    I don't care if it's happening to just me, or the entire population of the New African Colony of Mars... I just want to fix it :P

    Problem with sound hardware?

    Utterly fragmented game files?

    Overheated system?

    HD is well defragged - double checked just now.
    Sound Hardware and Software is newly reinstalled and up to date (tried that)
    System is not overheating either.

    *shrugs* Only thing that changed is I updated my SoundBlaster drivers :( But, shouldn't that make them work BETTER?

    wasn't borked before, it's borked now. Unupdate it.

    Actually, I found the problem.

    For whatever reason, my rates got fuxxored - I normally run cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate at 75, with rate at 20,000

    They were at 30 and 5000 respectively...

    No idea how that happened *shrugs* But it's all better now :D
