Try this out, it's a vietnam based mod for Generals, Zero Hour http://www.vgomod.co.nr/ It's an infantry based mod, fairly varied maps, and it's got tonnes of tactics. The main complaints heard so far are that you can't spam lots of one unit and win (well, there are one or two units you can do that with, but there are counters to it). I do want to see what you guys think, as you guys are most likely to appreciate detailed games (like empires is) If anyone wants a game, just ask, i'll make sure you have a good time. pretty piccy
meh, i just uninstalled CnC a little while ago. If i ever reinstall, i'll give it a try. Im more interested in Company of Heroes/Dawn of War/Homeworld mods, tbh.
It's nothing like generals at all... most of our complaints are from generals fans that can't hack the change in gameplay. I'd say that the commercial game it's most like is company of heroes, because of the infantry focus. i'm making myself feel ill from all this advertising bullshit. but it's true too really.

I'm sorry! we really were aiming for an early release, but we had big animation problems. basically, our only art guy decided he was gunna be a saint and learn how to animate, but the creations he made were so pointless and grotesque that we had to revert back loads and just delete stuff that we couldn't animate like swimming still fun though
Thx I will try it. So, I tested it. Was really good for the first impression, too bad I crashed after ~15 minutes of playing :/ (I dunno if that was the mod or the game)! Though the chinooks are a little too big.
