I wrote the elite, and it's automatically cannon, but vess fucked up the description, they're special forces, and the design isn't 00% what I had in mind.
Anyway, on-topic. This could be cool in a campaign, or as a replacement of the current rifleman model...
Actually, come to think of it... Since the elite has been my idea for ages and I had vess try out a sketch, the thread title should be "Angry's Elite that Vess drew". Anyway, it's not a perfect sketch to what a real elite looks like. Because vess was all like "Trust me, lemmie do it my way for once". But it kinda gives you a good idea.
It's more than the gun As Angry said, the elite aren't the queens guards, they are the best of the Brenodi infantry, the ones that would be called in for high-stakes missions that the Empire doesn't want to risk failing. You drew a fancy palace guard, not the best of the Brenodi soldiers.
I know but you wanted to do it 'your way'. Besides you never ruined anything it's just the concept is somewhat incomplete.
Meh... At first I wrote a long post about how you shouldn't judge someone's taste how he feels of things how they should look like. But then I decided not to post it and I'll just say... Vess. Your skills in drawing are very good and they are far more better than many of others have here and your concept art drawing skill is even better than many of us have here. Your ideas are unique and good looking. Even they wouldn't be realistic it doesn't mean they would have to be because in games they can be made to be realistic or whatever they have to be. Keep doing it your way, I like your style.
I really like the hexagonal pattern on the coat! have you done any color variations on it? maby brighten up the dark spots a little so you could see a little more detail on the coat would solve most issues imo...
One thing I gotta say now after my history class today, it's good for the 'best of the best' to keep their faces covered because it gives their enemy a lot of those 'didn't I just fucking kill you?' moments because they all look the same. Then again, everyone looks the same in this game
It also helps avoid the whole LOL EVERYONE R CLOENS problem that is prevalent in many computer games.
i registered just to comment, you guys are nuts this is a great drawing high school DEF NOT even that first drawing is better then i can do i can barely draw a straight line and im out of high school , this drawing is excellent and i like it alot. maybe some people are artists and they have a better view on things but when an average person takes a look at it there is nothing to say but WOW
