I have an issue where every 2-10 minutes I am disconnected from the server instantly, with the quote 'A connection to the VAC servers could not be made' and that fucking shitty little icon I'm beginning to loathe. This only occurs with empires, and it occurs a lot. No, I do not hack. No, I do not share an account. Why the shit is this happening.
Sounds like one of the VAC-servers went down. This problem should fix itself after a while. Edit: Awww I forgot that it doesn't happen in other games - sorry, my bad, I couldn't sleep that well the last 3 nights.
And yet it's been occurring only in empires for weeks, hence me not playing it recently and generally being a basebitch, only a basebitch of the forums.
A VAC update might've screwed up the way it handles itself in Empires, as we've had some trouble with VAC in the OB version as well. You could make a support ticket in Steam support system, they might check it out and fix it.
I've moved my steam [all of it] onto my empty HD, the current HD was at 99%, so I'm thinking that might be a cause. I better go redownload empires and see if it's worked.
