so I ordered something from thinkgeek.com, i checked the tracking this night and found out it was delivered earlier in the day. but i never got package, or got a note, and it was received and signed by some guy named Dan (who i dont know).. does it mean im screwed? D=
sue? lol wouldnt lawyer fee and etc etc cost more than the package itself? 65 dollars. its sucky, now that its holidays, i probably wont get response for days. hopefully this american company would have good costumer service. thus far, ive had good customer service with japanese companies.
UPS didnt leave a note and i didnt leave a note instructing them to do that. and i dont think our neighbor's are named Dan.
If you didn't leave a note, and they didn't leave a note, it doesn't mean they didn't do it. Ask around before blaming them. Besides, they leave stuff at other people's houses without you giving them a note, although they usually leave you a note unless they're in a hurry.
well i guess ill ask in a few days *since it is holidays* the thing was.. my whole family was home during the time it was delivered lol. my computer is in the living room, and the door is near me, so its impossible for me to not notice ding dong or knocking while expecting a package to arrive.
wait, this is the US Postal Service right? If it is certified mail, they can't legally let anyone take it without the signature of the addressee. Sister had a letter that they tried to deliver for 5 days in a row that was certified, and they couldn't let anyone but her sign for it.
What, that frivolous lawsuits are easy? You don't understand the American legal system. But then again, most Americans don't either.
nah, not USPS, the UPS. usually, i dont have a problem with the USPS. well my right neighbor was out of town and the left neighbor dont have XD..
Unsure if this app plies to packages from ups, but if someone opens mail addressed to you without your permission, it's a federal offense. Ups will pay for it. Also, yay for companies that give you legal benefits
if they allow a person who is not a relative of yours to receive it, then you can claim a refound for the item. If they deny you this, then you can with ease go to court and win. (assuming the service contract includes refound for missdelivery and/or loss of goods) For granted things such as lawyer costs gets included to you if you win a court case, and also any possible loss due to unatending work during the court sessions etc. anyway, it should be np to get a refound.
Americans sue for anything,,, You fart in MY bus,,, you get sued for farting... I sue myself for having shit anatomy...
so i got my package today, it was the neighbors.. across the street and diagonally from my house.. lol, a god damn goose hunt. emailed the store that i got it, but i still complained ups shouldve posted a note saying at least the street address >.>
Again, complain DIRECTLY to UPS. What they did is illegal in the US. They've done it to me and I lost a package that way. Complaining will either put your delivery person on probation, or have them fired. There are rules they need to follow.
