This idea is along the same lines as the other 2 threads I just posted: http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=12975 This one is the simplest. Make the barracks, for a small res cost, upgradeable. When infantry spawn after it has been upgraded, they will have the level of RPG corresponding to the highest level of barracks. Infantry would retain this weapon as long as they are alive. If a barracks is upgraded while you are alive, you would not get the upgraded RPG until after you respawn. Likewise, if your level 3 barracks dies while you have a level 3 RPG, you will keep your RPG at level 3 until you die. If you don't want to read the other threads for the reason for these 3 threads: This research is out of place in the research tree. Doing something like this would give it a place, while allowing it to be researched along with whatever you need to research in the research tree.
uh isnt upg/adv gren rpg gone anyway? and as stated in a lot of grenadiers threads, making the gren only usefull with a certain upgrade is a stupid decision. also if the price to upgrade is low youll end up having lvl3 rpgs all the time, so you could aswell have them upgraded right away :D edit: yeh trickster was faster :D
I just want to confirm the damage values. These are the current values for the RPG: Damage (Jeep, APC, AFV, LT) = 120 Damage (Medium, Arty) = 139,2 Damage (Heavy) = 159,6 Correct? What is the speed?
Speed is 1200, but I don't see why you couldn't open the script file to find that out for yourself. And yes, those values are correct. Also, consider that the HP of all the armours got nerfed (except CV).
I just see that speed is also in the scripts in this version. Can I also see the damage increase somewhere?
