So an idea i had that i scrapped was:controllable turrets but its merged with this idea. Here is something that could be interesting in empires:Upgradable buildings! They work by getting the research for the level of the building(Levels Researched:2 and 3.)And are merging with turret upgrades and to upgrade you pay res less than the building cost but when you build a building ground up you get it instant max level researched. Example Upgrades:Barracks Level 2:Gets 50% more health and level 2 turrets. Barracks Level 3:Gets 50% more health again and mountable level 3 turrets.
VF lvl2: Doors so enemies can't enter VF lvl3: Freshly spawned vehicles become rocket propelled and get blasted out.
