Update problem

i went on hiatus from empires due to educational constraints but now that its summer and I no longer have to spend my nights stuffed in a library or a lab, I was trying to get back into empires, I check for updates and low and behold it has been updated!!! i excitedly downloaded the update......it didn't work. I thought well maybe i need the old computer version.......it didn't work. well maybe i'm having problems with that mirror......tried them all and still no empires!!! please help me

 

well here the complete situation the game loads the music plays its all good, the server list loads when i try to connect to any server i receive a message saying: ongamerulescreationstringchanged: missing gamerules class CSDKGameRules on the Client. i have tried to connect to both the servers running 2.24d the one running 2.25 and a few running 2.25b and just for good measure i tried the one marked with something crazy and the same message appeared everytime

 

Delete emp folder reinstall 2.25 try again.

 

update its now on 2.25 but still giving me the same error

 

no its there, i just think i have a fail file

 

Did you install 2.25 THEN do the 2.25b UPDATE?

I have had soooooo many people come to be saying they've "updated" but all they did was do the 2.25b update from 2.24d.
