Alright, I've heard several times about people who demand a tutorial level or something similar as some people just doesn't read the manual. So here's my way of doing it: A tutorial button on start. But that fellow is busy with school now, so I'm just wondering, is there any other fellow that would like to continue these movies with me? Vess: '' Utilizing the technologies of our research division you can outfit our many chassis with weapons, armour and motivation systems to fit your tactical preference. How ever which of these augmentations are available to you is up to your Forward commander. To access the Vehicle customization screen you simply activate this console *stop in talking, looks at menu, turns back* ''or Press "V" any where in this facility to bring up your general(?) interface. *Turns up VF Screen* You start by Selecting the type of chassis, then you'll find your self at the out fit screen. Start by selecting your desired weapon configurations by dragging the icon to an available weapon slot of the same type. Repeat until the weapons suit your liking. The armour screen allows you to select a single armour type, and prioritize thickness on four sides. The engine screen allows you to select which engine variety to use.Each has strengths and weaknesses. Now mind the weight and cost of your vehicle, if there to high the vehicle will not build. And mind you, a vehicle w/out either engine or armour has no place in my motor pool and will not be built. Finally choose which weapons will fire when triggering primary and secondary fires. Also which weapon sets can be selected. Now it's ready to be built. *Builds BE Med He Tank* *Emp_recruit rotates the tank so it faces Vess* Vess: ''Unfortunately the empire saw fit to cut the driver training program, so be careful, mind your passengers, and watch the heat! If your vehicle runs low on ammunition just move close to a nearby, *Quick screenshot of armoury, ammo box, or repair pad* armoury, ammo box, or repair pad'' Also to refit your vehicle with newly acquired technologies simply park on the repair pad And press "V" Learn to drive well And I may even let you into golf squad. Dismissed! *Emp_Recruit drives away, Fade out* Things marked with '' '' means that's a line. Sweet tutorial. Gotta love the voices and the directions! If you wish I could setup some space that allows the hosting of your better versions, without any catch. Might even throw in a divx player on the web that allows a better view plus the possibility of downloading the movie! Just drop me a pm if you are interested!
ill continue with u i got n mic but i cant be like the mute sas on leetworld doing head motions and what not. also what really messes noobs up is the fact that u got to do lots of things to get ready and most people dont bother reading tuts because they wanna play it quickly, recently my friend started playing he gets fooled up mainly with customization (spawn locations...squads....vehicles....skill points) other then that he can shoot people so hes coming along pretty good.
The tutorials would be mainly used directly from the game, so space isn't really a problem. But if it's okay, maybe we could use your server for some recording? And butter_jam, the voices were made before recording, (I'd play them on my mobile phone to sync). That way I got better sound and the lines were already made.
There is a way to play flash videos from inside of a SRCDS game since GMOD does. We need about 4 more of these.
