    Wait, what's wrong with Cyclopean?

    It's probably the simplest commander map in the game. It's got 4 unique corners and a unique middle. You learn the entire map almost instantly just by normal playing, which is really impressive given its size. And actual gameplay isn't bad. It's like what Moors should've been.

    Cyclopean is pretty bad, you can't hold bases you have to constantly attack, but if you try to constantly attack you run out of resources because the layout makes it pretty much trivial for scouts to sab all the refs. All of the refs are out in the open, they can all be sniped so you have to try to win in 10 minutes or lose by 11. Once mediums are researched it's over.

    I actually disagree with those points.
    Its inredibly easy to sab the nf south ref and mid yes, but every singly other ref is concealed in some way or has the path to it obstructed. Sabbing is way worse on open maps such as duststorm where you cannot defend against scouts just driving around and there is no terrain to stop them either.

    You cant hold bases? Its one of the most defendable maps out there. City has 2 1/2 narrow acces points, Bases are mostly walled in, NW has hills with another 2 big entrances , one side and the hill approach. You cant snipe buildings on this map most of the time at all.


    Whats wrong with cyclopean is
    Holes in the ground on nf side which makes it impossible for tanks to manouver and defend
    Northwestern ref is such a hassle to get to, people sometimes dont even bother
    BE side refs are way more hard to destroy. Dam has one way to it that isnt narrow as hell and its right under be base, while southern ref is in middle of nowhere and most of the time the spot is vacant because its so easy to destroy it
    City area is a noobtrap like no other. All this detail is nice and all, but it has way more of it that any other part so people stick around and camp rooftops and think they are useful. Rooftops bad. Funny thing, BF4 had the same issue.
    Be has such a perfect city rax spot. Nf can only place it in the open. I wonder how that usually ends.
    The water routes are apparently not visible enough on the minimap since people still drive into water.

    As far as looks go, middle is terrible. Just moving around makes the edges of the lake glitch the fuck our and become transparent.
