Thermal Vision on Tanks

    I think putting Thermal Vision on tanks(USing the flashlight button)
    Thermal Vision use heat signatures(body and engine heat)to tanks and infantry


    PROS:
    Help spot Ninjas
    See through cover and spot ambushes

    CONS:
    Don't really know any right now

    Should probably be a skill for the scout... To find those sneaky scouts... Or a ressearch, as it compleatly nulls ninjas and scout hide...

    Maybe it takes up a weapon slot? ML or MG?
    Maybe we need a 'utility' slot for high level tanks? [Heavies and APCs?]
    You can get say, Mobile Radar, IR, Spotlight, Mounted MG [for the second slotted player, think a riflemans HMG.]

    Sound interesting?

    yeah what was that thread about "special" slots that someone suggested. Im sure the thermal vision could be added to that list.

    I think it would suit the scout best. Lets u be Sam Fisher or that dude from CrYsis (CrYsis ROCKS :D)

    Thermal vision is fancy but i think the time to make a shader that looks nice and
    interesting and maybee realistic would take a HUGE amount of time.

    On the topic of utility slots: Snow tires/snow spikes (for tank tracks) for those oh so icy maps.

    Set all non-players to black. Draw player models as Yellow/orange. Add bloom.
    Solved.

    I like the idea of snowtyres, but 3phase with good grip... D:

    Yeah, I was thinking of a scout upgrade or something like the first post that upgrades the binoculars to be able to see thermal by hitting G, which would be pretty awesome.

    Like the thermo in the arcade Area 51. Shoot the first 3 friends and the background goes green and enimys are tellow orenge

    If you put it in the mod as a upgrade make the turret benfit from it so it can detect ninjas and hiders.

    Uh, I think he means scout hiding.
    Turrentz don't detect hiders.

    Scouts can't ready do much to CV's without being spotted by turrets, and grenadiers don't have hide. The closest is a squad with a scout as leader using mass hide, and even then it's difficult to take out the CV.

    Mmm, the best way is to take a squad of 4 guys of each class, mass hide, wall the comm in with the engy, ninemine and drop turrets.

    But could luck keeping 4 guys in line for that long.

    IIRC, using the engie build tool unhides an engineer.

    YAY LETS GIVE WALLHACK-VISION TO TANKS AND EVERYTHING SO THOSE UNBALANCED NINJAS AND SCOUTS CANT MELEE MY TANK OMG !!!!!11111


    Scouts could have some kind of NV goggles or something instead of flashlight when using Hide.


    Attack order wallhack is enough for everything else.
