Also it looks like you have a rendering error, the building appears to be rendering in front of the beam.
I think it's because the beam originates outside the skybox. Which is a pain because I can't think of a reliable way to spawn the beam at the skybox. I can turn bloom off, but the effect is pretty ridiculous anyway. I'm working on the CnC95 sound.
Ion cannons don't really fit IMO. I think it would be cool if BE had an orbital railgun and NF had artillery for the strike squad power.
what about making it charge before damaging? like a thin line becoming wider over the course of a second and then this happens dunno if you would like that
