The squadleader is a walking, talking spawnpoint for everyone inside his squad. But..

The squadleader is a spawnpoint for everyone inside his squad.
(yellow or green coloured spawn knob on the map if a certain amount of squad-points are available that is enough to make the purchase, so...1)
It subtracts 1 Squad-point per player using this spawn-point per spawn
(so -1 if your squadmember uses it, just that simple)

    ------------------------------------------------------

mass revive stays as is (is still useful for making people spawn as we would say in-game: "RIGHT FUCKING NOW WHEN THE SQUADLEADER NEEDS IT AND NOT ON THE FUCKING WRONG SPAWNPOINT" and ofc still cuts off spawn timers instantly to 0 as it normally does)

individual revive by engineers with the skill still works, but takes up a squad-point to do so (to softly kill off that "we cant re-spawn because we are in the enemy camp, but the rest of our squad can because they are constantly over and over revived by engineers and its keeping our team alive even when it really should have ended 30 minutes ago

    pro's:
-shorter walking distances for squads that stick together anyway
-more SQUAD movement gameplay and co-orporation without FORCING anyone to do so (people can walk and fight wherever they want to)
-good squads get rewarded with instant action
-good squads reward teams by calmer ticket use
-squads become more of a "unit" a "force" with a heart (the squadleader) and "limbs" (the squadmembers)

    cons:
-tickets are less needed when squads are very successful, but the provided tickets remain the same number (i agree this might mess up "some" of the ticket balances on "some" maps if the squads all have a very good squad-point income, my counter is that there is no real ticket balance, and the one that is present can be fixed within 5 minutes of work for each map)
-spawning "in the heat of battle" (i have no arguments against this, it may look very unnatural and might piss off people)
-squad-points will drain fast (squad-point gain can be rebalanced, its not even balanced that well atm anyway)
-a sneaky squadleader can teleport everyone behind the frontline (he can do so already with mass revive)
-makes stalemates easier, because a squad that saved up all the squadpoints can keep on spawning, and as long as they keep the squadpoints up proportionally (on escort and district... yea, maybe... all the rest it will be like using squad revive properly, it will turn all engineer squadleaders into "proper" squad leaders without improving there intelligence or memory)
-it dumbs down the game, since all those tactics like spawn squads will not be as hard or tactic any-more (true in some respects, then again all the grief and agony from not being revived (from the squadleader failing to preform this strategy perfectly and there are no engineers in the area) is... gone...)
-squadpoints will drain uber fast and squadleaders cannot use those squadpowers they like so much (yea, they wont be used that much if people preform bad, die a lot and use this often etc, but then again a squadleader can kick anyone who preforms extra bad)

Why because you posted the infantry squad leader spawner suggestion bevor, for the 123123123 time? :P

I'm not claiming ownership of the idea, but I ran a search for similar ideas before I made the post, and I couldn't find anything from this year even remotely related.
Yes, I'll elaborate. I've never seen anyone commit so many social faux pas in my entire life. I'm just curious if you actually posted this just to piss me off or if you're really just clueless. If you posted it just to piss me off, I have clearly underestimated you.

It makes no logical sense, but then, neither does squad rev.

I think it's a bad idea. Having people constantly spawning on squad leaders will be annoying, and wasn't part of the original design. Killing one person and seeing an entire squad pop up in front of you is rare, and should remain so.

Having a regular revive cost a squad point is just retarded. No one will bother with it.

They basically have this is bad company two. And its already super overpowered.
In Empires this would be even more OP.

I'd rather spend money to drop explosives on people from high orbit than to make the lazy and stupid members of my squad (as they are the ones most likely to die) not have to walk to me.

This could work on conquest maps. On district and urbanchaos it will allow more flanking and on escort NF will have a bigger chance to recapture the flags.

But on commander maps it would be too powerful, because you can protect your commander from incoming APCs but not from incoming hidden scout squad leaders. Also the rarely used squad skills would be used even more rarely.

    no, empires != project reality

If you sneak around back and take a cap point in PR its not a huge deal, sneak around back in empires and kill a base and it can be gamechanging. Pretty much all you need is a single person to survive and get swapped to squad leader and you could have infinite spawns on them by joining/leaving squad. So pretty much a single jeep can drive past everything and serve as a barracks. Sounds like a good idea.

So instead of "spawn at base, armoury, go to Sbend, die, respawn" you just "spawn at Sbend, die, respawn"?
