the black keef and shandy waters

So i've had this problem for along time all your maps(raiders, tropic, ect) that have that same water always show up as all black on the top. I just ignored it but then today I join tropic vendetta and the water actually showed up as blue.

is that different water then used on the other maps?

 

Perhaps you were missing the texture?

 

I didn't do anything to change it and the other maps still show black water

 

He is not missing textures tropicvendetta has been made for direct x 8 as well as 9 thats why the water is blue. I have the same problem with the other maps. The waters are black on direct x 8. If I changed it to direct x 9 all the waters are blue on all maps

 

oh so those other maps like isle and raiders havent set the water for directx 8 then?

 

Yes, I was about to mention it but Vicki already touched on it. This is something that will happen for anyone running DirectX 8.x (even happens for me if I force DX8).

I have been contemplating this recently, and eventually I will see to it that my water shows up properly for DX8 players on all of our maps that use them.

Low end graphics tends to fuck up water dubee

 

The default maps are fine for me, it is only some custom maps that the water is black

 

I get black water on the new isle.
