As far as I am concerned, that "tagline" is evil, and should be removed. I completely disagree, no, abhor the idea. The russian army kills you for retreating. Is it better to have an army and live with the fact you lost a battle (but can still win the war) or to be a bull headed fucking retard who throws his men in, and then when his men realize its hopeless, kill them for being sensible? It would figure that Ngo Dinh Diem would have made that quote if anyone would have. That quote is asinine and offensive in all way I can imagine it, and furthermore, seeing that quote every time I load the 42nd's website disgusts me.
No. You are talking as if I was a singular person who does not like it. I am not alone in my sentiments towards it. Others I have talked to (within the 42nd) have the same feelings towards it, though they reached their opinions via a different line of logic. I think whoever thinks that quote is noble......needs to be committed to a mental institution for an examination to see if they even have a brain, or if it melted away and oozed out of their cranial cavity like puss out of a neglected wound.
Propaganda has been around for a long time; that is no diffrent, designed to create zeal and patriotism. That quote ensures that even your death has served a purpouse, and gives you peace at that... In any case; as that is not a real standing army; or real lives involved I do not see a problem
If I put a quote on my site "Killing babies and then frying them and eating them is good" and it only applies to...a game....does that make the quote any less barbaric? Regardless of what that quote was put there for, I loathe it. Nothing can excuse it.

I'm not having issues differentiating what it is. I'm having issues with the fact that the idea of shooting your own people is being painted in a positive light here, which is not right. Game or not.
This is hardly the optimal place to attack a quote. Would it have been better to use that most infamous Patton quote, present on every other five-minute-clan site in existence? If you can find an awesome quite that isn't overused, feel free to bring it up in the Mess Hall or the Council Hall. Otherwise... Keep our laundry out of everyone's faces.
Yea, it does. Gaming isn't life and not something to be taken seriously. I can easily see plenty of people joking about that online but they wouldn't do it in real life. It isn't like you can do anything about it anyway.
Official leader, yes he was...the 42nd restructured in the past weeks - but the bills are being paid by a third party (for the most part) and shall continue as such. The 42nd itself is still alive and kicking.
I'm going to assume this means the 42nd are no longer active in Empires so I'm going to change the status in the wiki.
