How many times Ive gotten stuck and have to struggle to get out. With the colision, this was murder. Moving in place is a great advantage simpily for ease of gameplay.

Only for tracked vehciles and NOT for Arty.
Arty needs to have the requirement of some timely forward/backward/harder than parrele parking adjustments to get their cannon around to change targets.

if you make it so for the dual engine slot to grant this then arty's need to not be able to get the better artillery cannons so they must pick

DEFINETELY. It would eliminate one cause of frustration. And ESPECIALLY for artillery. If such 'technology' was available, it would naturally be FIRST used with artillery.

Realistic Implication of Technology < Game play

Arty shouldn't even be able to move, but since they can, they must not get this or else it will just be that much easier to abuse it.

maybe give this to arty too, but make them turn fast, so it woud be hard to get them in the rigt angle

why not make them rediculously slow? maybe only twice the speed of infantry and a sluggish turning speed, it wouldn't be able to defend itself from a paranecium! that and a long cool down to give the infantry a chance to spawn and run.
BTW, I think I would vote yes on rotation because it lets you take advantage of your non-damaged armor side like you are supposed to, not being able to turn fast enough is the main problem with tank combat.

I think its a no brainer to add in-place turning to tracked vehicles. Its what you expect a real tank to experience. Implement it please.

Don't worry about unbalancing the game. First, add the features until you get your right equilibrium. THEN balance.

I don't think a lock is necessary. We just have to avoid performing necromancy on threads.
