Next chapter will take some time, its a prologue set 4 days after the main fleet hits the beaches. I need to ensure that I don't write in anything that will create complications in the storyline later on.
http://rallypointzulu.googlepages.com/00-Prologue.doc Non-final draft of the prologue. I want opinions on the ending in particular, thats the part I'm most unsure about. Don't give me shit about it being absurd, I have talked to DonMegel before I even started the writing, when it was just a massive storyboard, and he told me he thought it was good, that it really captured what Jekotians are at there cores.
Vess. Since he posted the cover, may as well share the rest of the information. As you can see, Vess made the cover for me. For that, I am in his debt. Thank you. A few weeks ago, I received permission from Krenzo to seek publishing for this upon completion. This is why I stopped posting. Soon, I will have finished the last public piece of this. It is a preview which includes the first seven chapters, the prologue, and the cover. I will be using this to gather feedback from publishers on whether they are interested or not. This will also be available here and on my website, to everyone.
One small bit I'll suggest, probably you may not like and it was only based on what I remember of the first page or two of the thread - you may want to tone down slightly the way everything has super-gigamegatera watts etc as it makes things sound a little silly, other than that, good luck
Don't tell Vess, he might get annoyed if I ask him to change the cover, he's already done shitloads for me for nothing in return.
Wha? I know what I'M referring to. A series would mean the cover being modified and somewhere say the series and that type of crap :p
Make sure that the books get bought by 'Waterstones' in the UK cus i would get a copy Think about it, this has to be the first set of books set on a mod for hl2 created by a 3rd party team. I mean CRAP some of the best games dont have books! :D:D:D
I'm going for whichever interested publisher gives me the best deal. I write out of passion, but I want to maximize my profits from publishing. I really want to donate a few thousand to the dev team if I make that much off of it.
Well, looking back, ENDWAR is a bit stoopid. I can't think of something that has directly related meaning AND sounds un-lame.
