I honestly don't understand why it's still an official map. Same thing with money and stuff like nuclear or district. All of them are fun, but their gameplay is pretty broken so everyone and their sister thinks they can fix them. You end up with a million versions. The concept of an "official" version is just silly. For me, an "official" map is just a map that players shouldn't have to download because it gets played so fucking often. If it only had one "version" (i.e. NOT money, district, and escort), then it is incredibly useful to be included in the stock game. Instead, the official maps seem to be some sort of dick measuring contest for "pretty" maps.
Nuclear isn't even released yet. But I definitely agree with the multiple versions point, there should only be one version, stat - all the extras should be removed or replace the stock one. There is no justification for three moneys, three districts and two escorts. None.
I only meant that Nuclear is the kind of map that would be constantly tweaked for balance due to its asymmetrical nature. If it gets popular, then I wouldn't be surprised to see people make different versions like you see with district, escort & money.
How 2 win escort as NF: - Several 9mine traps. Check - 1 or 2 Sticky stun scouts. Check - Several LVL3 MG and ML turrets. Check - Decent squadwork and flagwatch incase squadhide infantry. Check Congrats you win.
You know, I remember playing NF with Trickster once and he said basically the same thing. I always knew those were important things and I did many of them when I played, but listing them out really got me thinking. All of those things sound simple, but there really isn't anything "more" that NF could be asked to do. We're asking NF to really operate at peak infantry play. NF needs to pull out every trick in the book to survive.
Vicki said somebody was working on fixing NF escort, I have never played NF escort and would like to try it. I can't imagine it being any different from normal escort.
ya, NF escort is pimp for sure. I don't ever remember there being anything wrong with it though. I am looking at it right now and I only see one missing texture and its damn near unnoticeable. Some kind of flag bug is the issue?
what broke? seriously... I was just flying around in it just now... its fine except ONE missing texture that no one may notice unless playing with HDR. Is it a flag issue?
If you're talking about Mayama's NF Escort, some specific conditions in which flags were capped caused crashes. Isn't that the point? 9mine traps are enough for the first flag. You need stuns by the 2nd flag, turrets by the 3rd, and squadwork by the 4th and last flag. If NF win Escort, they need to have played really fucking well, and that's exactly how it should be. The problem is that the first flag of NF Escort has the tank path being really high up. BE tanks would have a huge advantage because of using cannons, so they can get a way better firing angle down. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'm just saying that when the attackers are above the defenders, cannons will always be better, so keep in mind that the balance won't be the same for both teams.

So its somehow not fair to me to take what is given and make it a more enjoyable experience. what in the fuck alt5 had its problems, but unless admins decided to disregard blatant exploitation of be apcs over the wall, it was challening, but still very possible for nf to hold its own. Now tell me, who is supposed to be having fun on the current version.
