it has always been each server had their own forums and or steam group for server info, complaints, suggestions, ban appeals etc. I think having it on the empires forums would cause a lot of drama especially many who post on these forums don't even play the game. But there could be a sub forum for each server with a link to the server's forum or steam group.
Actually, I always wanted to ask. Any sourcebans website for NUBS? I know somebody told me there is one, but I never had any luck finding it.
Separate is best. Community may be small but game things should be brought here, server things elsewhere. IMHMO,
best, but not possible. servers do a terrible job of advertising their websites/where to get people banned. put it on here, worst case scenario is someone not understanding an inside joke
I suggested making a sub form with servers but only have the link to their forums/steam group. I think that would be the best
That's probably a good solution. A stickied thread maybe. Possibly for announcements but I think discussions would be best kept aside. We don't need dirty laundry aired here everything someone has an issue with a person or ban or setting or something server related.
Making a sub forum on here for servers is an absolutely terrible idea. Vicki's idea would be better since the server stuff would still be kept separate from the empires forum. I don't see why it's even necessary to create a subforum. Why do you think we need one in the first place? Some justification for your idea would be nice instead of simply suggesting something.
Like ban appeals, maybe suggestions, reports, any kind of feedback and such. Many people dont even know who is the owner or admin. And I guess you might not want to add every single person to friends just to make a ban appeal or report something. If there is no other place, its gonna most probably end up here. (or nowhere) Maybe just something like Trello style forums or the simple steam forums. (you can also moderate it there as you wish) The link on the main page of forums seems the best idea. Thats quite a standard for every public server which is on some "level". Simply a dedicated place where such things go.
